Kozikowski & Partners Report in Cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) on Polish–Japanese Investment Cooperation
Driven by an unprecedented energy and technological transformation, Poland is becoming one of Japan’s most important business partners, attracting Japanese capital through numerous large-scale projects. Japanese companies, drawing on decades of proven expertise, are dynamically expanding their operations into new strategic areas — from capital-intensive infrastructure and energy to innovative technological solutions.
For years, we have been supporting Polish–Japanese partnerships, observing the market’s maturity and its growing potential for further collaboration on increasingly demanding and often strategic investment projects. With Japanese investors in mind, who are seeking business opportunities in the Polish market, together with PAIH we have prepared the report “Poland: Where Transition Meets Opportunity – A Roadmap for Japanese Investors in Poland.”
Pre-launch Presentation at Expo 2025 in Osaka
The report was first unveiled in Osaka during Expo 2025, attracting the attention of business leaders and representatives of economic development institutions from both countries. Discussions focused on key investment areas, including green transformation, technology, real estate, capital markets, and digital innovation. The strategic position of Poland in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction was also emphasized.
The scale of Poland’s transformation and infrastructure expansion is reflected in flagship and ambitious projects such as the Central Communication Port (CPK) and offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea. In parallel, the dynamic development of hydrogen technologies and nuclear energy further strengthens the broad spectrum of opportunities available to Japanese enterprises.
Practical Guidance for Japanese Investors
The long-term and consistent engagement of Japanese capital is a clear signal and proof of the stability of Polish–Japanese relations and their shared, ambitious goals in the region.
Our report, “Poland: Where Transition Meets Opportunity – A Roadmap for Japanese Investors in Poland,” goes beyond summarizing past achievements — it serves as a strategic guide for Japanese investors. It offers not only practical legal and regulatory insights but also explores specific, emerging pathways for growth whose scale and diversity position Poland as a key business partner for Japan in Central and Eastern Europe.
“Today, Poland is a mature and increasingly technologically advanced partner. Our report, ‘Poland: Where Transition Meets Opportunity – A Roadmap for Japanese Investors in Poland’, opens the door for investors to understand the diverse contexts of investing in Poland while offering an overview of the most promising strategic sectors and tangible business opportunities. I invite you to read it – I believe it will help reveal how many areas of shared development connect Poland and Japan today.”
