Michał specializes in Polish and European regulatory law of infrastructure sectors, in particular energy law and railway transport law, as well as competition law and state aid law.

Michał advises clients on selecting optimal investment implementation models, obtaining necessary administrative decisions — including concessions and environmental permits — connection to the grid, participation in renewable energy and cogeneration support schemes, capacity market mechanisms, application and interpretation of grid operation and maintenance codes, and fulfillment of regulatory obligations arising from sector-specific legal provisions. He also provides advice on matters related to obtaining state aid and applying antitrust law, including notification of intended mergers, control of foreign direct investments, and the regulation of foreign subsidies.

Between 2011 and 2024, Michał worked at one of Poland’s leading law firms, where, as a partner, he headed the competition and antitrust practice and participated in the work of the energy, natural resources, and chemical industry practice group. Since 1999, he has been a research and teaching staff member at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, currently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Public Economic Law.
